Winter Wonderful: Choir Holds Winter Concert

The choir program has their first concert of the year on Oct. 22 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. All seven choirs in the program will perform at least two pieces for this event.
The first round of the 2019 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) all state choir auditions took place on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Keller High School. The TMEA All-State Choir is an extremely prestigious state level choir that receives thousands of auditions each year.
For the first time, show choir is no longer a class period, and they are limited to three mornings a week before school to prepare for their major competition later this year.
Choir will host the annual talent show on Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. Tickets will be on sale during all lunches starting Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10 for $5.
Chamber Choir earned their place as Grand Champions at their first competition, the North Texas Madrigal Festival, on March 8, 2019. Not only was it a prestigious honor to have won first place among the 38 participating choirs, but this is the first year Timber Creek has had a Chamber Choir.
The prestigious Westminster Choir of Princeton, New Jersey stopped by Timber Creek this past Wednesday, Jan. 16 to perform for the Varsity and Chamber Choirs. Being one of the top choir colleges in America, this campus visit was the chance of a lifetime for aspiring musicians.
Congratulations to the following Falcons who advanced to this top level of competition.
This Thursday, Dec. 13, the Timber Creek Choir will perform their annual winter concert at 7 p.m.
Twelve choir vocalists sang their songs in the tune of success as they competed in three previous rounds of competition and advance to the final round of All-State.
