National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is once again holding their iconic paint night, however, on Wednesday, Feb. 27 it will be a kids edition. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in room FA108 for a cheaper price of $10, children from ages 7 to 12 are welcome to come showcase their artistic talents.
Actor Burton Gilliam, best known for his work in “Blazing Saddles” and other Westerns, visited with Falcon Theatre students during fifth period on Thursday, Jan. 17 in the Lecture Hall.
Twenty-nine art students qualified for state at the Region 11 VASE competition on Saturday, Feb. 9. A total of 35 art pieces from Timber Creek will join 72 from Keller ISD in San Marcos this coming April.
The varsity and junior varsity Winterguards competed at the WGI Dallas regional competition last Saturday, Feb. 8. Both guards advanced to finals after their prelims performances, something that has never been done at a WGI contest in Timber Creek history.
This past weekend, the Indoor Drumline started their season off receiving first place with their show entitled “Club Duæl”. The group performed in Lewisville, TX at North Texas Colorguard Association or NTCA, competing against 2 other schools and finishing with a 75.15, a four point lead from second place.
Want to learn how to swing dance? Join the jazz band with swing dancing lessons and a concert on Friday, Feb. 22 in the cafeteria at 7 p.m.
Falcon Theatre will host a spirit night at Pie Five Pizza in Alliance Town Center on Thursday, Feb. 7.
On Friday, Jan. 25, the annual Kelley Awards were held in the auditorium. The Kelley’s is an award show that awards students from all four high schools in Keller ISD for their work in each schools fall musical performances.
This year, the indoor drumline is preparing for their show with much anticipated excitement. The show, entitled “Club Duæl”, is intended to have a speakeasy, jazz club feel. The show will have wind features on Saxophone and Trumpet, and include dancers to add to the theme.
