The annual Hope for the Holidays sponsored by NHS almost did not make a comeback this year, due to a change in the school district’s internal policy on “Allowable Collection of Funds for Donation.”
Starting Thursday Oct. 3 through Saturday, Oct. 5 at noon, the Public Service Club will host a fundraiser at Grub Burger Bar in Alliance. This spirit event will go toward funding competitions, transportation, and supplies for the club.
This year, NAHS is will host monthly craft nights, the first of which will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in room FA108. It costs $25 to participate. Participants will make fabric flowers and create their own wreaths.
The speech and debate team has dramatically increased their focus on fundraising, as they are attending more high level competitions this competition season. In order to compete at tournaments, they must have additional funds, so the team will be hosting five spirit nights in the near future.
Archery club holds great importance to its members, and has weekly practices, but many students don’t know that it exists.
History Club is beginning the year with biweekly meetings where students can go to discuss and celebrate their love of history.
