EDITORIAL: Weight Dual Credit Classes Like They Deserve

On this week’s Black History month special, we’ll be talking about the late dancer, actress, singer, and activist Josephine Baker. She helped break down many doors for many black entertainers, both here in America, as well as overseas.
In senior year, one most likely has to take a half semester government class and a half semester economics class. For AP students, this is especially restricting to success.

Although he lived in a society where slavery still existed and free people of color were discriminated against, he managed to find success for his creative inventions.
The second person to be discussed during this Black History Month special is essayist, playwright and novelist, James Baldwin. He published many critically acclaimed books and essays in the 50s and 60s that focused on the black experience in America and race relations between blacks and whites.
With more requirements put on AP teachers, such as a yearly exam and routine conferences in their subject areas, students who want to get ahead in their academic careers can get the training they need.
School fights lead to nothing but a poor outcome for all students involved.
A great way to eliminate that stress is through adding a study hall period. Study hall can improve GPA and reduce stress levels in kids.
Black History Month starts Feb. 1 and we want to use this time to recognize famous African-American activists, writers, and entertainers. The first person to start off this Black History Month is activist, scholar, and author Angela Davis.
