During this time of the year, the Falcon Football team should be getting ready for the spring football season, but with the spread of COVID-19 plans have changed. Although the team can’t practice together like normal, Coach Marshall Williams is making sure that their time spent away from the field doesn’t go to waste.
With hours of practice under their belts, the Sky Dancers and Violet Belles have worked to become a formidable dance team in the state of Texas, a feat of which they’ve accomplished by emerging victorious from their last two competitions.
Since the soccer season started in December, the varsity boys have been putting long hours into practicing. The boys have been hoping to win district and are making their way to that goal. They are currently fighting for one of the two spots left for playoffs; they’re in third place and seem very capable of making it.
Due to the spread of COVID-19 and the school closures/cancellations that follow, the Athletic Booster Club (ABC) has amended due date for their 2019-2020 Senior Athlete Scholarship. Applications are now due by 11:59 p.m., Friday, May 1.
On Friday, Feb. 21, five Falcon wrestlers were sent-off to compete at the state competition in Houston. Throughout the wrestling season, the team worked extremely hard in practices and matches. Finally, the athletes’ hard work would pay off and would be rewarded at the UIL State Wrestling Championship.
Marshall Williams has been named the new head coach of the Timber Creek Falcons Football program. Williams was previously the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinate at Southlake Carroll since 2018.
After months of hard work and preparation, cheer’s competition season is in full gear. Over the past few weekends, the cheer team has competed in two UIL competitions to prove their strengths amongst the best cheer teams in Texas.
There’s been a slight change up in the UIL District alignment for the 2020-2022 seasons. Denton Guyer has been moved to a different district, while the rest of Creek’s opponents remain untouched.
