There’s been a slight change up in the UIL District alignment for the 2020-2022 seasons. Denton Guyer has been moved to a different district, while the rest of Creek’s opponents remain untouched.
January 29, 2020 is the 100th day of the 2019-2020 school year and Keller ISD is celebrating in lots of ways. We’re sharing 100 photos, some which haven’t been published before in our celebration and recollection of the first 100 days.
The swim and dive team showcased their hard work and dedication by performing strongly at the district and region meets. The UIL District meet took place at the Keller ISD Natatorium on Jan. 17 and 18 whereas the UIL Region meet took place in Lubbock at the Pete Ragus Aquatic Center from Jan. 30 through Feb. 1.
The swim meet that all swimmers look forward to from their first stroke as a high school swimmer to their last is the Senior meet. Occurring on Jan. 9 at the Natatorium, all the senior swimmers were recognized and their future plans revealed.
With the month of January comes the return of the swim and dive district meet which will determine who moves on to the next level of competition for the state meet. The divers will compete in their district meet at the Natatorium on Friday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m. while the swimmers will race in their meet the next day Saturday, Jan. 18 at 3:30 p.m.
The swim season has finally taken off after a very late start. A predicted two-week construction delay turned into five weeks of demolition at the natatorium which forced swimmers all over the district to find new methods of working out.
The swim and dive teams splashed into the season with their first meet on Sept. 28 at the Keller ISD Natatorium. The following photos were captured as the teams practiced for the KISD Invitational meet on Oct. 26.
Qualifying for the UIL State Championships for her second season in a row, varsity swimmer, Maci Finder, furthered the team’s influence not only in the pool, but also throughout the school, making waves throughout the season.
