A Gem of an English Assignment to Teach Students About Kindness

Soon there will be a place on campus where students can go to have a place to de-stress, called the “Garden of Hope”.

Gallenstein credits karate with helping her out of her comfort zone to try something she never thought she could do.

Destination High School has become a common phrase around the halls of Timber Creek, but not many students know what that entails and why Principal Donald Bartlett shows so much passion towards the phrase.

Timber Creek High School is now home to the first ever coffee shop to be introduced in Keller ISD. The Daily Grind, as students voted to name it, is scheduled to have at least a soft opening on the first day of school, with full operation possibly having to be at a later date. While it is very near finished on the construction side, there are still a few more tasks to check off the decoration and details list.

Keller ISD is welcoming back a familiar face as Dr. Rick Westfall becomes the new superintendent. Westfall had previously spent his time in Keller ISD as a principal of Keller High from 2008 to 2011. He’s not only familiar with the way Keller runs, but also recognizes a number of people who have continued their careers in the district.

Many will agree on the fact that ever since Mr. Donnie Bartlett walked into the building, Timber Creek has been a happier place.

A coffee bar is going to be added to the library at the start of next school year, where a multitude of different coffee recipes and small snacks will be available for students to purchase whenever their need for coffee grows too powerful to suppress.

Mr.Otto has been a very unique and special teacher for the senior class. He taught students in 8th grade at Trinity Springs and would later come to Timber Creek to teach AP U.S History.

Students across the school religiously carry their 2016-2017 yearbooks as if they’re textbooks. The number flashes the word “SHINE” throughout the halls as students — seniors especially — rush to capture the school year’s memories in signatures from teachers and friends. None of this would be possible without the work on the yearbook staff.
